***Nika will be in our care early October 2024***
It's me, Nika. I don't usually write letters, but I wanted to let you know how much you mean to me.
I’m learning to trust more and more each day, thanks to your kindness and love. It hasn’t always been easy for me, especially with loud noises that make my heart race, but you always reassure me that everything will be okay. That means the world to me.
I love spending time with my brother Geno, running around and playing together. There's something about the way the grass feels beneath my paws when I flop down for a rest that makes me so happy. My blue-gray eyes might still reflect a little bit of my past, but they’re also filled with all the love I have for you. You see, when I rest my head on your knee, I’m not just looking for comfort—I’m also showing you how much I trust you, how safe I feel with you. And when we're just sitting around, hanging out, I want you to know how much love I have to give.
Even in those quiet moments, when it’s just you and me, I feel so close to you. It’s in those times that my heart feels the fullest, knowing that I can simply be by your side, offering you all the love I have. Thank you for being patient with me, for all the treats that make my tail wag, and for helping me find my confidence again. With all my love and a gentle nudge, Nika
