Adoption Pending

Spot was abandoned… and then it got even worse.

He came into the shelter with a companion — and watched that dog leave to safety while he was left behind. Alone. Scared. Waiting. No one came for him. And soon, he found himself on the euthanasia list.

We couldn’t let his story end like that.

Right now, what he needs most is comfort. Stability. Someone to show him he wasn’t left behind because he didn’t matter.

He has already been through so much… please don’t let him keep facing it alone.

If you can open your home to Spot, even temporarily, you can change everything for him.

Spot… an amazing little guy with the sweetest soul

At around 2 years old and 38 lbs, Best guess of breed at Red Heeler mix. Spot may be young, but he has the gentle, wise demeanor of an old soul. He’s incredibly loving, always ready to give kisses, and happily sits on command. With his adorable face and those corgi-like ears that pop up, he’s impossible not to fall for.

Spot is very laid back and happiest just being near his person, whether that’s lounging on the couch or relaxing at your feet. He can be a little cautious with stairs and hardwood floors, preferring the safety of a cozy rug—but he’s slowly learning that the world isn’t so scary (and that floors are not lava!).

He recently discovered his love for toys—especially his favorite, Lamby—and it’s been a joy to watch him come out of his shell.

Spot is house trained, good with other dogs, loves kids and ready to be a loyal, loving companion. He would make a wonderful addition to just about any home looking for a calm, affectionate best friend.
