What are the benefits of fostering?

It’s free to foster
All you need is love! PawLife Rescue Group provides everything your foster needs – from food to supplies to toys.
Test out pet parenthood
Fostering is a great way to test if you’re ready to be a pet parent while also helping out an animal in need. It’s win-win situation!
You can adopt your foster!
Falling in love with your foster? As long as you meet all the requirements for adoption, you’re more than welcome to adopt your foster.
Makes the pet more adoptable
Foster families can help shelter pets learn basic commands and unleash their personalities. This makes the pet more loveable and adoptable.
Foster on your terms & timeframes
Want to foster a few months at a time? Or only puppies? We’ll try our best to match your requests as long as you provide a safe place for the pets.
Help keep pets out of shelters
Shelters may have to make the tough decision to put down an animal due to lack of space. You’ll literally save a life by temporarily homing a pet.

Responsibilities of a Foster Parent

Care for your foster
It may be your foster pet's first time in a loving home. Whether it's medical care, socialization, or basic training, caring for your foster pet will help them prepare for their forever homes.
Get to know your foster
Foster homes provide a transitional place for animals to learn to be themselves. Get to know your foster pet's personality – Are they a couch potato or an outdoor adventurer? Do they like making new doggy friends or prefer to be the only dog? Knowing a pet's personality and quirks helps us match them with the most suitable forever home.
Advocate for your foster
Be your foster pet's spokesperson – share their story with friends and family, show them off at the park, and share their cute photos on social media. Advocate for your foster so they can get adopted more quickly.

What our foster parents say

Tigger and his two siblings were found under a car, abandoned by their mother. They were only 5 days old. Luckily Lynette found a mother cat who was able to nurse the kittens! All three kittens have been adopted into the same family where they are now thriving!

Anna's original owner was no longer able to care for her. When rescued, Anna was matted and required medical care. After recuperating with her foster mom Tatiana, Anna is now in a loving forever home!

Snowy was 6 months old when her owner surrendered her due to her family having allergies. Mado fostered Snowy for several months until Mado's brother adopted Snowy. Now Snowy has a forever home and can see her foster mom all the time!
