Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a facility? Can I meet the pet I'm interested in in-person?

We are foster-based organization in Pinellas County, FL. We do not have a facility, but we work with a network of fosters, volunteers, and veterinarians to care for our animals. If you are interested in meeting a PawLife Rescue animal, please fill out an application and we will contact you.

What is the adoption fee and what does it include?

Dog adoption fees range from $100 to $400. Cat adoption fees range from $50 to $125. See adoption resources for more information. The adoption fee covers vaccination, heart-worm test, microchip, and their neuter/spay.

Can I adopt my foster?

Yes! Foster parents get first dibs. Please let us know as soon as you decide so that we can let other potential adopters know the pet is no longer available.

I filled out an application, when can I expect to hear back from you?

We are a small non-profit run by volunteers. Please allow us two weeks to get back to you.

Do you have location requirements for your fosters and/or adoptions?

Our adoption process requires a home visit so we are only able to facilitate adoptions within a 1-hour radius of Pinellas County.

In order to foster with us you must be located within Pinellas County because that is where our veterinarians and volunteers are located.
